More Adventures!

Well I finally got what I asked for, Swedish food.

*GULP!*

Take a guess what this is ...

That there is noodles and reindeer meat. Yes people, I ate reindeer. It was surprisingly extremely tasty! Very very lean meat and very healthy for you according to the native Swedes here. Oh boy... my stomach had a hard time figuring out what the heck I just put into it.

After dinner William took me to Stenbron, roughly translated it means Stone Bridge. It was UNBELIEVABLE. It's supposed to be just a trickle waterfall, but because of the massive snow fall they had this summer, fire pits off to the sides of the river, were now submerged under water and about to the now middle of the river!

I took a video from my digital camera because you just don't see how freaking FAST the water was moving. For my birthday I went skydiving, it was fun, no fear, but standing above this water on the bridge, scared me! The water was intense!!! (It may take a min for it upload...)
For some reason it's giving me problems to upload the video, just click here to watch it:

William and I attempted to take a picture of us, however either he will not smile or else he will smile but close his eyes. Here are our SORRY attempts to take a cute picture together!

Okay I Give Up!
I am not sure if any of you know, but here in Sweden they have midnight sun. The sun during the summer NEVER goes down. The pictures here of William and I Stenbron were around 10pm at night. Around 2 a.m. outside it begins to look like it would around 5 pm there in America. INSANE!

Then the next day in the same village that William lives, is William's uncle Michael. We paid a visit to say hello to him. He is a police officer and was so embarrassed by his English. I think it was great the feel OBLIGATED to speak English! We had a lot of fun meeting their dogs.
In Sweden, the dogs tails CURL on the end. It is the STRANGEST thing I have EVER seen!

Remember all the pictures you can click on to view them larger.

I noticed in his uncles home they have these cool wooden horses. His uncle told me that in different villages in Sweden, they have these horses and each village paints their a specific way. Like a state flag... they are all different. Well these two horses represent two different villages.

After Senbron William took me to the grave of his mothers father. He died of alcoholism, which is sad because currently William has not had contact with mother in over 5 years due to her battle with alcoholism. This was the old entrance to the cemetery. Up above is bells they ring after the funeral of somebody being buried there.

I LOVE IT HERE!!!

Okay well it's 4:12am in Utah and about 12:15 in the afternoon, time to go explore!
Love you all and Mom & Dad, if you are reading this, I hope you are having a BLAST on your Alaskan cruise! Happy Bifday Papa!

What is that box of dirt (I think) behind you in the dog photo...is that like a raised garden bed for growing vegetables? These blogs are wonderful, Amelia. I think we all need to go!

That is the Swedish way of growing veggies, being in the side of a hill it still gets the moisture from the rain but this way it doesn't drown in the rainfall. Also, it has little things that fold down on the side because mosquitoes are rampant up here in about a month, I hear they are ENORMOUS!
