Excuse me? You satellite dish is WHERE??

A lady called DirecTV yesterday informing me her reception was very low. I asked her if she wouldn't mind stepping outside and looking up on her roof to see if there was anything on her small little dish or anything in its way.

With a strong southern accent she goes, "Oh hunni, that Installer who came round here yesterday sweetheart, he left my satellite dish on my roof!" I'm thinking to myself, well isn't that where it's supposed to be?!? "Ma'am what did you do about the dish being on your roof?" She informs me she took a ladder and climbed up there and took it down. "Why would I leave it up there, it'll get blown away!" I asked her where the dish was currently.... "In my hand sweetheart. I just hooked it up to one of them extension cords. Did you know that Installer left it on the ROOF of all places hunni!? Don't this thing need to be closer to my TV to get better reception and not up on the roof, my goodness!" I totally lost it, hit mute and cracked up laughing. In a composed manner I told her that the dish was supposed to be ON THE ROOF and the tech had bolted it down to withstand the weather. She still wasn't grasping the concept. Haha.

Next thing you know this will be her, going the grocery store with it...

I love my job!

Does anybody read this? Or do I just post these for my own fun???
Just curious.

Amelia this is Sam, Carrie's husband. With stories like these you're sure to get more people reading...very funny. I'll make sure people get the message.

I always read, those are the best kind of blogs, the ones that are absolutely pointless, like curtis' sleeping episodes.

Amelia...
Does Direct TV hand out "stupid award",given to the stupidest customer of the day?
When I was in retail food service and your Aunt Karen was in retail also we would have discussions at the end of the day to see who had the weirdest customer for that day!

I read it, Amelia. I love your stories. I was sad when you didn't have old people stories to tell anymore, but it looks like they have been replaced with more funny stories.
