SuRpRiSe!

Today is William (my boyfriend's) birthday. Because of hockey practice tonight, I decided to celebrate his birthday last night. It was pretty amazing and I'm thinking I deserve The Best Girlfriend Award for everything I did!

We started off the evening by going to dinner at the high-end restaurant Hamiltons. I arranged for our special table to be set up with his his gift which was in a huge red gift bag sitting on the table. His eyes totally lit up when he saw it and started laughing. He is always making fun of how in fancy places they offer you different kinds of water to drink. So when I was dropping off his present I gave the lady a bottle of some fancy sparkling water, a bottle of FIJI water and then asked for her to bring a flask of good ol Logan water. Over the summer William had seen a show where they played a prank on a couple and filled up all the bottles of water with tap water... they did not tell the people this and asked them which water they liked the best, of course they said the bottled water. So when the waitress brought out the water like that he just cracked up laughing. William enjoyed his $30 steak while I remembered through the whole meal... "Oh shoot I'm paying for this!!!"

To buy myself some time for my next surprise we picked up a movie from RedBox, $1 rentals are FABULOUS! We were getting outta the car when he noticed there were streamers or something hanging from his ceiling in his apartment. I downplayed it and said that his roommates really wanted to throw him a little surprise party just the 3 of them and to go with it. He just kinda kicked the snow and said... "ahhh.... fine, alright." He HATES surprises. As he opens the door the place was pitch black. All the sudden the lights turned on and silly string and party poppers full of confetti went off. THE WHOLE UTAH STATE HOCKEY TEAM, EVERY FAN YOU CAN IMAGINE was CRAMMED into his little apartment. He just grabbed and me goes "You really got me good I did NOT see this coming, not even in a million years!!" The professional photographer for the hockey team was there taking pictures. I had ColdStone make William an ice cream cake out of his favorite ice cream... and put trick candles on it. Watching him blowing them out was the best. He had never seen trick candles before so he was entirely confused!!! It ended up being a great night! Total success!
