Sitting at breakfast, this will sound corny fair warning, I was so taken back by the beautiful sight looking outside the window from the kitchen table. Everything is just so simple here, so peaceful and natural. They do not manicure the yards as we do in America. The grass is more natural (and they don't pick out every rock to make it smooth as can be ahem Dad!), they just throw down the seeds rather than buy sod and roll it out and not walk on it for months! (again ahem dad)
Everything is so open here and more practical. Not big huge kitchens just simple enough for what you need.
I was explaining in an email to my parents that there is NO carpet in Sweden! Well I'm sure there is, but it's uncommon. Everywhere (even in the malls!) there is hardwood floors EVERYWHERE! In America we are all about different colors of carpet to distinguish the different rooms of the home, in Sweden they use different woods instead.
Okay well it's time for Stockholm!
